On July 23, 2025, devastating wildfires turned 120 km² of beautiful Cyprus landscape into ashes. Among the hardest hit was the village of Souni–Zanatzia, where lives, homes, and nature were deeply affected.
In response, the local community united to launch the “Make Souni Green Again” campaign — an initiative to replant indigenous trees and bushes, restore the natural environment, and bring life back to the area.
